Outfit: Spring Wool Skirt

woolskirt woolskirt2 woolskirt5 woolskirt4 Skirt – Gap | Bag – Fossil | Blouse – Topshop

I’m trying to get the last wears out of my favorite winter pieces like this wool skirt.  I paired it with a sheer white blouse and tights since it’s still a little chilly out there for spring.  I’m so glad it’s finally starting to warm up though!  In other news, I changed my Twitter, Instagram and Pinterest name to @mandyelizmc.  I’m really excited to take the next step in my life journey with a new name that is more reflective of me as a person overall.  Make sure to follow me there!

Outfit: Blanket Scarf 2

Today I’m showing a second look with my blanket scarf.  This time I’m dressing things up with a blazer and tall heeled boots.  I’m seriously obsessed with these boots I scored on sale at Target after Christmas.  They compliment my blanket scarf so well.  I’m hoping this is the last of winter but I can’t wait to break out my scarf again next year!

I’m taking advantage of what is hopefully the last of winter to share two looks with this amazing blanket scarf I got for Christmas.  It’s pretty much the warmest thing ever and I love it.  I also finally decided to break out my Warby Parker glasses for a post because how could I deprive you of seeing me at my nerdiest?! ;)  I’m back wearing slouchy socks with ankle boots too which was a favorite from last year as well.  This look is very simple with just a sweater and my blanket scarf but the two light colors compliment each other very well.  Stay tuned for the next look with my blanket scarf!

Outfit: Gap Sweater Zip Cape

Booties – Chinese Laundry | Sweater Cape – Gap | Jeans – Old Navy | Bag – Fossil

I’m a sucker for a good cape.  I fell in love with a cape coat a few years ago and now it’s this sweater cape from Gap.  There is definitely something about the beautiful silhouette a cape creates.  This outfit is very simple and un-fussy.  My favorite types of outfits don’t require much thought and usually involve a pair of jeans.  This sweater cape takes a simple T-shirt and jeans look to a new level.
