It’s A Romp

I remember my childhood days of wearing a romper.  The ease of not having to think about matching a pair of shorts to a top.  It was effortless and simple.

Today’s modern take on the romper has become especially fancy.  With fabrics like polyester and silk, it can be dressed up with a nice pair of heels for an evening out.  I recently wore this look for a night at a pre-July 4th fair.

It was comfortable enough for a fair but a little fancier for an evening, instead of daytime look.  I added a statement necklace and ring in similar colors to add various pops to my outfit.  Mixed metal bracelets were my arm candy.  I’ve been into mixing metals lately after finding pieces I love in both silver and gold.

The unique thing about this romper, in particular, is the open back with two buttons.  What looks like a simple one color romper from the front, suddenly becomes much more interesting from a different angle.  And of course, no summer look is complete without a signature hat!

  1. You are looking “cool as a cucumber” in this romper. I LOVE the back. Very alluring! That has to be one of the classiest romper looks that I have seen. Love the “blast” of color added by the necklace and ring. Knew someone who once said, “You cannot wear gold and silver together.” You have proven that person to be totally “out of sync” with fashion trends. Continue to admire how your awesome hats and footwear complete your style. This is definitely…A ROMP!
