Wedding Wear

A week ago today, I attended the very lovely wedding of my uncle.  The reception was held on a beautiful golf course and it was a gorgeous summer day.

I wore a tan dress I had worn months ago for a work gala but I updated the look to make it appropriate for the warm weather.  Instead of tights, I opted for bare legs and instead of booties, I wore sandals.  I even wore a bright pink flower in my hair instead of a black one!

I feel very much like I’m channeling my inner 1920s child in this outfit!  The cut and style of the dress look straight out of that era.  I also got the chance to use a bag I wore for my wedding and it was great to break that old favorite out again.

A low heeled sandal was perfect to dance the night away!  I had a wonderful time and congratulations to my uncle and new aunt!

  1. You’ve hit a “hole in one” with this nude flapper dress! You know just the right color to enhance the look! Love the pink flower and that lipstick is a total winner as well. I am not able to wear a heel so those dressy black sandals would be perfect for me. The beads and earrings add a special touch to an already awesome style. Black and white damask is one of my favorite designs and it looks great on the bag. Would love to see a post of you in your wedding gown. Hope you can share that on a blog sometime soon.
